When God Puts a Word in Your Heart
What happens when God puts a word deep inside your heart? I know first hand what happens because I’m currently going through this again. God spoke to me and told me to just write. I know that He wants me to use this blog as a source of encouragement to others. And I definitely want to be obedient to what I know God tells me to do. So, I decided that I would get really serious about writing. My husband even ordered me a new computer because the ones we had are very slow and have to remain hooked up to a power source all the time.
The very same night that I got my new computer, I decided to go check my blood pressure. I just had a feeling that I needed to. Perhaps God was directing me. It was a gut feeling I had for about a week or so. My husband ran up to the store with me to check it out, and it was the highest it has ever been in my life. I was shocked! I re-took mine and had my husband take his twice to compare and just to make sure it wasn’t the machine. I tried not to panic, but that’s so hard to do sometimes.
That night I found it extremely hard to sleep. Around 4am, I woke my husband and thought I was going to need to go to the hospital, but thankfully, he helped me calm back down. I finally fell asleep around 6am. When I woke up for the day, I went to a local pharmacy to check my blood pressure again. Unfortunately, it was still high. I decided to go to urgent care. Long story short, I need to reduce the stress in my life. I’m now making immediate changes and believing that I won’t need meds to control it.
So what does happens when God puts a word deep inside your heart?
Well, not much happens…until you decide to take action. I believe that the moment I decided to get serious about what God has called me to do, the attacks began. But the important thing is to recognize that you are being attacked in attempt to stop you from doing the Lord’s work.
So, the next time you are sure that you are doing what God called you to do, recognize that you may get attacked by the enemy. But, stay strong and keep pushing through. He will be there with you to help you each step of the way.
Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
I hope that just by publishing this post, I smashed Satan in the face! I will not allow health scares to stop me. I’m not going to let anything get in my way because I know this is part of my calling.
I hope that you are blessed and encouraged today. Know that you are not alone in your struggles. God is always there with you.
Be blessed my friends.
