Hello! If you’re new here, I’d just like to say, “Welcome!” I hope that you will enjoy my site. I’m a stay at home, working mom of 4 awesome boys. They are my pride and joy! They range in ages from 2-17. My oldest is about to turn 18 and I’m secretly having a really hard time with that. I absolutely cannot believe how fast these years have flown by. How did that little boy turn into a young man so quickly? These feelings I have now are the same feelings I had the day before he started kindergarten. I remember very clearly, crying my eyes out because I didn’t want to send him to school. I was a single mother then and I really didn’t think I had any other options like homeschooling. In fact, I didn’t even really know what homeschooling was all about until I met my husband and learned that his friends homeschooled their girls.
I’m so thankful that my husband came along and rescued me and my son. Soon after we got married, I quit my job and began our homeschooling journey. Now here I am with my first senior, my oldest son. I’m so proud of him! He is such a good kid who has never caused me to worry much. He’s very helpful with his little brothers too, even though they’re a pain to him much of the time. He’s also definitely our class clown. His entire life has brought me so much joy because he’s hilarious. Sometimes as a teenager, he takes it too far, but I still can’t help but laugh.
On the right is a picture of him 7 years ago and the one on the left was taken this year. He always loves kidding around!
Out side of homeschooling, we’ve been pretty busy. We finally sold our home and are preparing to move. I’m so excited. We’re only moving about 20 minutes away, but it’s to a wonderful home that’s only a few miles from my husband’s work. There’s SO much space in that house. A lot of people want to downsize these days, but this is our season to enjoy the space. I can’t wait to see my kids with an entire play area all to themselves.
I’ve also re-started a business that I once really loved (and still do obviously). I’m an independent Scentsy consultant. 🙂 If you want to check out what that’s all about, here’s my website, www.CandleKY.com. Once we move, I’m going to be running that business, plus working on another business that I started up myself. It’s called Grace Named. I take first or last names and fit them into scripture. I already have 2 orders to fill once we are settled.
Here’s one of the names that I’ve done. It’s not the greatest picture of it because of the glare.
I’m also going to be writing more often on here. Writing is definitely one of my passions, as is singing. I hope that we can find a great church where I can get on board with the praise and worship team. I miss singing SO badly! I’m going to be one busy momma! As if I’m not already. 😉
Well, that’s a little bit more about where my life is for the moment. We move in just 2 weeks, so stay tuned!
Be blessed my friends!
